Holly woods role in body dismorphic disorder? - body of influence watch blog
I have a question I would like more or less open forum. What do you think about our current obsession with celebrity culture and the effect on body image? I am a strength coach who constantly bombarded with questions like "How can I abs like Brad Pitt. I understand that there is a kind of visual target, people are often set for themselves ... Many people do not need your ideas, I can not understand how the public we say personalities shape their opinion about their own value / image can. The average American should look at these people nothing more than a source of entertainment, and that is what we should not be revered as demigods be. So, that means what is your opinion about our current obsession with the "bird-man to observe and how it affects our lives? Thank you.

Pepople spend too much time watching the edited images of people rather than sit and real people. Almost everything you see in the media will be digitally altered, airbrush is true, etc. Nothing.
The exceptional athletes in action, although in these days, even these people in one way or another changed the reference to the "masses in general" and his idea that (men and women and not to be) appear.
The media people dumbed-down, aggressive advertising of cosmetic products, which some people have unrealistic expectations of what should and should not, and "education does not" help system. A negative impact that we can determine what is real and what is not real, and finally, what is harmful or harmless. I bet you also get a flood of questions about steroids, right?
People need to learn more about the human body - the scientific facts, not the media and fiction in the world of advertising. People should meet more and other people, all kinds of people, young and OLd, black and white, etc. The most important thing people need to meet out and about real heroes and heroines - who has a big difference in the world - and not obsessed with brilliant actors.
